Been taking my 2006 BMW 3-series and 2013 Porsche 981 to this shop for several years now for routine maintenance and any unexpected repairs. They are extremely knowledgeable and through with their work (including documentation/write-ups, and communication), and understanding/realistic when it comes to holding off on some work items. The fog light on the passenger side of my 2016 Cayman S stopped working. This LED fog light also serves as day time driving light. It requires to take down the front bumper in order to access the light, an unusual way of design of Porsche. I decided to ask Edge for help based on my past pleasant experience with them for the brake work of Cayenne. Edge did a thorough initial inspection on the car at first. They found the driver side exhaust manifold is missing a fastener to cylinder head and confirmed the other bolts were still tight. They also checked tires, brakes, rotors and brake fluid, and gave very helpful advices. At first Edge tried to reset the error code for a quick and cheaper fix. This trick did not work. Then Edge carefully disassembled the front bumper and found the LED light was still good. They found the wire was broken, could be chewed by rodents. They fixed the wires and put everything back meticulously. I was so happy to see the car was back to work when I picked up the car. Only after arrived home, I sent Edge a message asking about the missing fastener and the wires of the fog light on the driver side. Edge answered by texting very promptly, another pleasant surprise. They confirmed the bolt was replaced and tightened, the wires of driver side fog light was inspected and confirmed in good shape when they took down the bumper. In summary, Edge not only did an excellent job on the work that I requested, but also went extra miles to inspect and fixed other safety related issues. Their reports, with abundant pictures, were very detailed and easy to understand. Unlike Porsche dealer, the bill that Edge charged was reasonable and rational. I used to maintain my cars most of the time. Edge now is my priority choice when these ponies need professional services. PS. When I mentioned rodent might be the cause to my son. He told me he parked the Cayman under the shade in SF on one hot evening for three hours. There were some leaves and twigs stuck in the front wheel well of the passenger side before he drove away. This is a mid engine mounted car, front was cooler. Indeed, rodent could be the cause. PPS. The car has been back for one week. No rattling was found while driving. What can I say??? These guys are very knowledgeable when it comes to BMW cars and provide excellent service. Gordon responded to all our questions and was very patient. I highly recommend this place to anybody who would like their cars serviced by experienced mechanics besides the expensive BMW dealers. They can definitely work with you. I would definitely bring my car here for future service/ repair works. Thank you Gordon for the excellent service.
Brought my Miata to Edge for alignment and corner balance. They had a lot of experience setting up Miatas, and got it dialed in exactly like I had hoped. There was a clunk coming from the front of the car afterwards, and when I brought it back in they found a slightly loose alignment bolt and torqued it all back down. I would definitely bring my car back here. It’s much cheaper than Custom Alignment, and the techs and staff are friendly and accommodating.
These guys are amazing. Knowing them from their Dublin location, I was ECSTATIC when I heard they opened another shop in the South Bay. Tony and Gordon know their stuff, I have brought my E46 M3, E36 M3, and my E30s to them. I trust what they do and what they say. Thumbs up from me!

I was looking to do a track inspection, oil change, and cdv delete on my BMW. I found these guys through forums, and after reading the amazing reviews for their Dublin shop, I decided to give them a try since this newly opened Fremont one was much closer. They’re very involved with track days/autocross/time trials, which is a big plus as far as trust goes. The initial quote I got over the phone for the cdv delete was a bit high since they weren’t sure if the exhausts needed to be removed, but the estimate was quickly lowered after they confirmed what needed to be done. During the service they found a few other things that needed work (they knew exactly what to look for as far as common problems on BMWs go), but they let you know and give you all the options before doing anything. You don’t feel pressured, and they’ll offer recommendations. If you’ve done the research on your car beforehand, everything they say makes sense. The overall feel of the shop is very clean and professional, and the people are friendly and passionate about cars. The prices are significantly cheaper than the dealer| while they’re probably not the cheapest around town, for the quality you get it’s a more than reasonable. I’m definitely taking my car here again.
